I know 3.0 is a new development, but I've read articles with statements claiming that Shader Model 3.0 is little more than Shader Model 2.0 optimized for nVidia cards. Dollar for dollar, I'm quite sure I'll purchase the X800 XT UNLESS Shader Model 3.0 is suddenly useful.
